Marly Mitchell is an award-winning Jazz Musician and Teacher from Seattle – now based in
Long Beach. Marly has performed in renowned venues and conferences such as Carnegie
Hall in New York City and the Jazz Education Network Conference in New Orleans. She is
the recipient of multiple awards in Vocal Jazz, including two Outstanding Soloist awards in
Downbeat Magazine and a generous talent scholarship from the Ella Fitzgerald Foundation.
She is currently in her last year of a Bachelor’s program in Jazz Studies at CSULB and
teaches private voice, piano, and ukulele lessons. When she isn’t teaching, Marly plays live
shows with a band, or solo with her ukulele, in venues across Western Washington and
California and occasionally records vocals for studio artist
