Maxwell Street Mumea is a guitar, harmonica, and vocal duo performing traditional early electric blues from the late 1930s through the early 1950s, drawing from the sounds of Chicago, Memphis, and the early Maxwell Street blues scene.

Our music is inspired by artists such as Muddy Waters, Jimmy Rogers, Little Walter, Robert Lockwood Jr., and other pioneers of early electric blues.
