Michael James is an upcoming West Coast songwriter, whose music ranges from the quiet and introspective to the brash and psychedelic. His unique blend of indie-rock/americana currently takes the form of a California trio based around Robby Gaar (guitar, lapsteel) & Jake Murphy (upright bass). Michael cut his teeth in Oregon as an in-demand sideman for several touring and recording acts, where he began writing a stable of songs inspired by the experience of leaving home, time and time again, for the road. He is currently in the final stages of completing his debut album, “Get Well Soon Town”, and is already working on a follow up EP with James Meder of LA’s Pique Recording.
