Come join a group of dedicated volunteer astronomers as we share our powerful telescopes with the public. The main attraction for the evening will be the planet Mars. With a little luck (and weather permitting!) we'll be able to identify the Northern polar cap and some light and dark markings on the surface of the planet. During the evening we will also turn our telescopes toward some beautiful star clusters, the Orion nebula and some pretty double stars.
We set the telescopes up across the street from Bogart's next to the Seal Beach Pier. This is a perfect event for children of all ages! Come enjoy an amazing view.
